I was given the privilege of serving as an official judge of the Miss Orlando, Miss City Beautiful and Miss Winter Park Outstanding Teen pageant.  I evaluated nine girls, ages 12-17, as they answered questions on and off stage, strutted their evening gowns and sportswear, as well as showed of their many talents to the entire crowd in the Trinity Prep School Auditorium.   The two-day event was both enlightening and humbling.  I had no idea there were so many outstanding teens in Central Florida!

The teen pageant was followed by the Miss Orlando, Miss City Beautiful and Miss Winter Park pageant.  Cathy joined me in the audience to cheer on our very own Miracle Child (who is now 23!), Lisa VanAlstine, as she won the title of Miss Orlando 2008.  We are so proud!

Children's Miracle Network is the official platform of the Miss America Organization.  Each contestant is asked to set a minimum goal of $100 for a local pageant, $250 for a state pageant and $500 for the national pageant to benefit the MAO scholarship fund and local CMN hospitals.
