During our Inaugural “Unidos en Esperanza” on Rumba 100.3FM and La Preciosa 740AM  December 10 - 12, listeners opened their hearts to Central Florida’s critically ill and injured children, pledging $350,253 to help our Children's Miracle Network hospitals provide life-saving care.  The most effective way for us to raise money for our participating hospitals is to share the stories of the young patients who have benefited from the care of Arnold Palmer Hospital and Shands Children’s Hospital. During the event, we met 30 children whose lives were changed in a moment by the diagnosis of a serious illness or an injury.

Meeting these families inspires us and renews our commitment to do everything we can to make sure the very best healthcare is available for Central Florida children.  On behalf of everyone at Shands Children’s Hospital, Arnold Palmer Hospital and Winnie Palmer Hospital, we thank the families for reaching out to help other children and we thank the folks at Rumba 100.3 FM and La Preciosa 740AM for supporting our community.  We are deeply touched by the generosity of the Latin population.
